šÆ How to prevent and minimize the risk of product losses on the sales floor. PRODUCT PROTECTION STANDARDS
FENDI employees are solely responsible for protecting products on the sales floor. All products must remain under constant supervision and control by employees while being viewed by clients. Products should never be left with unattended clients. If you need to step away while a client is inspecting a product, tell a fellow employee what you are doing and introduce them to the client. If no other employees are available, audibly tell the client what they are being left with before you step away. Store Team members should avoid turning their backs on a client who is in possession of a product and should work with only one client at a time. Products must not be taken out of the store to be viewed by clients. PRODUCT SECURITY ON THE SALES FLOOR
All items on the sales floor categorized as Leather Goods or Fur must be cabled, regardless of value or shelf height. In Outlet Stores, items also categorized as Bags or Mini Bags must be cabled, regardless of value or shelf height. Products that are un-cabled with the intent to show, sell, or move them for visual/inventory purposes must be re-cabled before being placed back on the sales floor. The employee who removes the cable must ensure that the product is properly re-cabled once it has served its purpose. Keyholders must ensure that this guidance is followed. Leather Goods and Fur in the window display and on mannequins do not require cabling. Showcase and vitrine doors/drawers must remain closed and locked. Once an item is removed for the client to view, the door/drawer must be closed and locked immediately. Standing in front of an open door/drawer and blocking it with your body is unacceptable.

Pre-Show closet/stock products MUST be locked away when not in use. LG/Fur on the sales floor inside Pre-Show closets with no locks must be cabled. Specific instructions on cabling can be reviewed here: ā Furs ā LG-Bags Back-of-House and Stockroom Storage
Products stored back-of-house and in stockrooms must be properly protected from any agent that could damage them (cold, heat, light, leaking water, etc.).
CABLING VERIFICATION
The Store Team must perform daily verification of all cabled products as part of the opening and closing Boutique Checklists to assess that products are secured and cables are in working order. DE-TAGGERS
De-taggers are used to remove cabling from products. The de-tagger must be available for all employees during their shifts and must never be left on the sales floor unattended. All spare de-taggers are stored in the safe or equivalent. All de-taggers must be accounted for every day and kept in the safe or equivalent while the store is closed for business.

ā If more than two pieces must be shown, an additional staff member assisting in the presentation doubles the limits to 4 pieces. ā Staff members are encouraged to seat clients when showing high-value items.
Fitting room or VIC room usage ā Audibly tell the client what they are being left with when checking them into a fitting room. Reconcile the number of products after each fitting ā If you have to step away from a client for any reason, introduce the client by name to another team member. When leaving the client unattended, ensure that you use their name. ā Communicate to team members when a fitting room is in use. ā Do not leave clients alone in the VIC room with un-cabled high-value items. ā Remove products from the fitting room when the fitting has ended and re-cable any unlocked items in the VIC room. ā Remain available when clients are in the fitting room and VIC room. Try not to step away from clients.
